Technical Questions
Welcome to the techy section of Nestoria Australia.
Below are some of the most common questions we get regarding the technologies we use. If you can't find the answer you're looking for here then send us your questions via our
feedback form and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Do I need to have javascript turned on to use Nestoria Australia?
We made sure that you can use Nestoria without javascript. But for an optimal experience, and to be able to use the interactive map, you do need to have javascript enabled.
What is RSS?
RSS is a data format that makes it easier for you to get a feed of news from websites. You choose to subscribe to a certain kind of information and when there are any relevant updates you'll receive them direct from the site. The
BBC have a great explanation of it on their site.
Does Nestoria support GeoRSS?
Yes, all of our RSS feeds are tagged with location coordinates. Enjoy. If you're not sure what GeoRSS is, you can
learn more here.
What is Nestoria Rank?
At Nestoria HQ we spend a lot of time working on our algorithm, which is what determines the results you get when you search Nestoria Australia. This complex equation uses a few key scales, or metrics, to help decide the results returned for each query: relevancy, freshness, usability or quality, and comprehensiveness. The sum of our efforts to improve the algorithm we call 'Nestoria Rank', and it's also the term for the order we show our results in.
Does Nestoria offer an API?
Yes we do, however at the moment we don't offer access to our Australian listings data. For more information on the Nestoria API, please visit the
Nestoria UK site. Or
check out some of the cool things people have been doing with it.
Can I show Nestoria Australia properties on my own website?
Thanks for your interest in Nestoria. We hope we were able to answer your questions, but if not get in touch using our
feedback form.
